I am a Registered Psychologist in Airdrie Alberta, and also proud to call Airdrie home. I completed my Masters of Counselling degree in 2008 and started a private practice in Airdrie in 2010, to provide personalized, specialized support for individuals and families with a variety of issues. I treat people with respect and dignity, and value their uniqueness. I offer compassion, hope, and encourage people to create meaningful changes in their lives. It is a privilege to be part of their journey forward.

I have specialized training and expertise in the areas of child psychology, play therapy, and trauma. I have significant experience working with children and their families regarding treatment of anxiety, depression, ADHD, developmental issues, separation/divorce, behavioral issues and emotion regulation using play-based and expressive interventions. In helping adults, I have specialized training in CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), trauma (Prolonged Exposure Therapy), and Solution Focused Therapy.

Liza Hartling - Registered Psychologist

Liza Hartling is a Registered Psychologist with a Master of Science in Educational Psychology, specializing in School and Applied Child Psychology from the University of Calgary. She has experience in both school-based and private practice settings, where she supports children, adolescents, and their families using a collaborative, strengths-based approach.

Liza provides counselling focused on building socioemotional skills, developing emotional regulation strategies, and implementing effective behavioural supports to help clients navigate challenges and experience success. She integrates evidence-based practices, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), through developmentally appropriate and engaging methods such as structured play, visuals, storytelling, role-playing, workbooks and interactive activities. She also offers parent support to help families reinforce socioemotional skill building across home, school, and community settings.

In addition, Liza has experience conducting psychoeducational assessments for children and adolescents in areas including ADHD, Learning Disabilities, Intellectual Disabilities, Giftedness, Anxiety, Depression, Trauma, and Behaviour Disorders.
